Automatic external scraper filter

The filter of the series of the external scraper is a full-automatic self-cleaning filter system designed for various liquid process applications.

The filtering system adopts cylindrical and cleanable filtering elements. The integral blade cleans the filter by scraping off trapped contaminants on the surface of the element. The scraper self-cleaning function eliminates the need to use disposable filter elements, thus reducing the maintenance cost, replacement labor and downtime of replacement elements. The unique brass or stainless steel filter material is made of wedge-shaped wire. The wedge-shaped belt is wound on the cylindrical perforated metal core, which produces a cone-shaped flow path when filtering.

The wire diameter and distance of wedge-shaped filter element determine the filtering accuracy grade. Fluid flow is filtered from the outside in. Particles larger than the precision of wedge-shaped filter element stop on the outer surface, which can be easily removed with a cleaning knife. Smaller particles are flushed through tapered openings without clogging the element.

The unique filter element ensures the maximum flow effective filter area, which is several times of the ordinary self-cleaning or wedge wire filter element. This feature provides higher throughput and lower pressure drop than competitive filtration systems. We offer filter elements of 25 to 500 micron accuracy.

The filter element is characterized by a fine wedge-shaped metal belt spirally wound on a perforated metal core. The spacing between each metal strip determines the micron scale of the filter element. In the winding process, the space is precisely controlled by forming a bulge on the strip. The conical flow path in the filter element of the union prevents clogging. Particles that cannot pass through may fall off or be scraped off the surface by a cleaning knife.

Filters provide superior surface filtration performance for a wide range of key commercial and industrial applications. The unique wedge-shaped strip media provides precise filtration performance to capture pollutants while allowing smaller particles to pass through without clogging the filter elements.

The high porosity of the media allows the filter to handle a wide range of fluids, from water to highly viscous liquids such as syrup and toothpaste.

The self-cleaning feature of the filter ensures constant filtration in a long production cycle. There is no need to stop production in the middle of the process and replace the filter element.
